Last Friday the UK Government published the long awaited list of destinations from which arrivals back into England will not have to quarantine. Many people are jumping at the chance for much needed sun, sand and relaxation, but unfortunately the list continues to cause confusion.
Initially, we were expecting a reciprocal agreement with other countries where no quarantine was needed. The list published by the government failed to inform travellers that each destination has its own specific policies.
The Aspiration Group are here to help to advise on these new government travel announcements conditions.
The new travel corridors allow those who are travelling from the government approved countries into England will no longer be required to self-isolate unless they have visited or stopped in any other country or territory in the preceding 14 days. As well as checking with the UK government’s advice, you must ensure you research the border policy of the country you are looking to visit. Governments across the globe are implementing new schemes and strategies to ensure the safety of their citizens. There may be additional measures such as Coronavirus tests on arrival or even quarantining for a certain time period.
The new policy has caused confusion and uncertainty within the tourism industry. Governments on a global scale are changing their travel rules and restrictions on a daily basis… so please keep checking.
